I does not take much effort to create more interesting landscape photos. The weather and your vantage point will have a great impact. The weather this past weekend was very unstable with a low pressure of wind and rain passing through the Baltic Sea. In other words perfect conditions for some seascape photography.
Make sure to check out the video above and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
A couple of months ago I discovered a new vantage point in my new favorite location, the Löderup strandbad, located a couple of kilometers outside Ystad. By going merely 50 meters uphill you are treated to a completely different perspective compared to standing at the beach. The combination of the high vantage point and dynamic weather created some of the nicest conditions I've experienced in a long time.
I made sure to make use of my Lee 0,9 soft grad and 0,6 soft grad filters combined to darken the sky and even out the exposure. By also putting on the 10 stop Big stopper filter I could drop the exposure and create movement in the water and sky.
So make sure to take advantage of weather that looks unstable as this can create great cloud formations combined with great light. If you manage to find a higher vantage point it will add an extra dimension to your photography.
I hope this short blog has inspired you to take advantage of so called bad weather. You can follow me on Instagram for more images from this magical evening.
